She got her start in veterinary medicine 4 years ago working at a veterinary emergency clinic as a veterinary assistant and was inspired to attend Vet Tech school. Kayla enrolled at Iowa Western Community college and graduated in May 2017. The aspect Kayla enjoys most of veterinary medicine is taking care of patients post operatively and getting to see the improved quality of life that comes with many surgical procedures. She has a chihuahua, Lola, boxer, Athena, and two chunky cats, Milo & Wiley.
